Another award winning wine can be added to the list at Tassel Ridge Winery after a recent, invitational only competition. Public Relations Manager Roxy Braband tells KNIA/KRLS News that Iowa Prairie Snow was one of 70 wines chosen from a list of 600 to be nominated for the Jefferson Cup in Kansas City, Missouri. Braband adds that the Jefferson Cup is different from most wine competitions because it doesn’t give out medals but just being nominated is like winning a double gold award anywhere else. In addition, Tassel Ridge had four other wines win awards. Pizzeria and Pasta Too!, 2008 Iowa St. Croix, In the Dark and Iowa White Blossom all took home Medals of American Merit, equivalent to a silver medal.
