Central College just couldn’t close the deal in a 75-65 non-conference men’s basketball defeat at Westminster College Saturday.  The Dutch were up 35-33 and led by as many as eight points in the second half. But they were hurt by 21 turnovers.  

Center Jack Bruns had 19 points while guard Demarco Turner had 16 points and five rebounds.  Forward James Chapline pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds.  Central is now 6-4 overall, and wraps up its non-conference schedule Monday when Mount Mercy visits for a 7:30 p.m. game at P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium.
