The Knoxville boys found themselves down early ten/nothing to Chariton and trailed by as many as 17 points in the first half before a furious rally in the third quarter put the Panthers ahead, but in the end Chariton pulled out a 51-49 win last night. The Chargers knocked down a three with 15 second left and Knoxville had two chances to either win or force overtime and neither shot would go in. Coach Clint Driftmier said a couple of things down the stretch that did not happen made for a tough night. C-J Wright and Luke Brady led a balanced scoring attack for Knoxville with nine points each. The Panthers head to break with a three-and-four record and will take some time off before starting the 2011 portion of the season January fourth against Grinnell.
