The Knoxville City Council met in regular session last night. At the meeting the council approved a request by the Junior Chamber Board for a community ice skating rink at Young’s park, approved the annual Federal Aviation Administration entitlement program application, approved costs of $22,148 for emergency sewer repair work done by Vanderpol Construction, adopted an ordinance amending the city code in regards to civil citation provisions, appointed Public Works Director Jeff May to the Central Iowa Regional Transportation Planning Alliance’s Technical and Policy committees with City Manager Dick Schrad as the alternate and approved sanitary and storm sewer deed of easement agreements with the VA Central Iowa Healthcare System.
