The Indiana Township first responders, Columbia Fire and Rescue, Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol responded to a report of a vehicle rollover accident 1685 highway G76, south of Attica, shortly before 9pm Monday. A garbage truck driven by John Chidester of Melcher-Dallas entered the south ditch, tipped over and came to rest on its side. Chidester was transported to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics to be treated for injuries. He relayed to KNIA/KRLS news through hospital officials that he is doing better and is going to be just fine.

The accident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol and KNIA/KRLS news will bring you more information as it becomes official.
