The holiday break for the Pella Little Dutch is here. From the scheduling aspect, it’s been a slow start for the Little Dutch, but they’ve made the most of it. They head into the break with a record of 4-1, with the sole loss coming against Norwalk.
Much of Pella’s success comes from knowing what they’re good at, and applying it during the game. Pella junior Lucas Boyd says they’re kind of a role team, and they each like to do what they do best. He says the work to their strengths, and it works for them.
This is a team that likes to get out and run their opponent off the court. They’re also extremely deep, therefor able to plug in different players into their scheme at any time during the course of a game. They’re able to keep fresh legs on the court at all times and it give their opponents trouble keeping up.
The Little Dutch have a tough schedule coming up, taking four out of their first 5 games in 2011 on the road. Pella’s next game is January 4th at Oskaloosa.
