Approximately 10:00 Thursday evening the Marion County Dispatch Center received a report of a fully engulfed house fire at 2485 20th Place southwest of Melcher Dallas. The Melcher Dallas Fire Department, the Lacona Fire Department, and the Marion County Sheriff’s office responded to the scene. The house was a total loss, and no injuries were reported. The above photo and video below were taken at the scene.

Later in the morning hours at approximately 1AM, the Dispatch Center received a call of an outbuilding fire in the 2400 block of old Highway 92 near Tracy. Clay township responded.
