Several Marion County students have been recognized for outstanding work in the 2011 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. This year’s honorees include Christopher Barkey, Katie Douglas, Megan Molloy, Tyra Washington and Melissa Molloy all of Knoxville.
The students were selected by a panel of professional judges among hundreds of applicants in the 12 state Midwest region. Barkey, Douglas and Megan Molloy received Gold Keys in the contest and their entries will now move on to the national level in New York City.
