Marion County now has its own apiary club. The club was formed by Jerry Murphy, who has been beekeeping for two years. Membership in the club has expanded to almost two dozen members in just three months. Apiarists with all different experience levels come from all over the county to ask questions and share information with other beekeepers. Murphy says that he was a member of a club in Oskaloosa, but wanted to form one closer to home. The as-of-yet unnamed club meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month in the classroom at Knoxville Hospital and Clinics.
