Wind and rain this morning took down a power line, knocking out power for nine customers in Marion County. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team went into action at approximately 6:30, staying live until the Severe Thunderstorm Warning was lifted at close to 7:20. The storm did damage some trees, Marion County Emergency Manager Jeff Anderson says that he had no reports of serious damage. Almost two inches of rain fell with this latest system, causing English Creek to rise 7 feet in the last 24 hours. As of 10am, it was almost a half-foot over its banks. Rain totals for June are up to 11.14 inches. That is a record for the most rain in the first twenty days of the month.
