Some Knoxville residents are giving up part of their Saturday to help clean up an area park. The Knoxville Parks Commission is hosting a voluntary clean-up of Edwards Park Saturday morning. Commission members Dick Reed and Pennie Sommar say that they are clearing out the brush around the pond and working to open access to a trail by the pond. People have already been out there earlier this week, clearing out the poison ivy. Reed and Sommar say that anyone is invited to help clean up the park Saturday morning. The cleanup will go until around 2 pm.
