Local country artist Jason Brown performs at the Knoxville Raceway Friday night. The concert “Under the Bright Lights” starts at 6pm, with opening acts from The Rumley Brothers, local band Quarter Inch Jack, and 2010 American Idol semi-finalist Katelyn Epperly. The concert is being presented by the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Foundation and Hy-Vee, and will be a benefit for the Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Foundation. All donations received go to support the hospital & clinics by funding equipment, renovations, and expansions. Brown says that he’s excited to be help raise money for the hospital and to work with the other acts as well. Tickets in advance cost $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6-14. Kids five and under get in free. You can get advance tickets at Iowa State Savings Bank, Knoxville Raceway, Knoxville Hospital & Clinics, or by phone at 842-1418. Tickets at the door are $15.
