Friday is the day that many new laws come into effect. One that is of particular note of the 4th of July holiday is one that states anyone operating a boat may not have a blood alcohol content higher than .08. That limit will be the same limit as motor vehicles currently have. Marion County Chief Deputy Troy Fisher says that law enforcement is looking for some of the same probable cause as they do on the roads. People that start and stop a lot and are swerving for no reason can provide some signs. Fisher says that the county will be out on the lake this weekend, as well the DNR and the Corps of Engineers to help with enforcement of the new law.
