After the original cleanup was rained out, the Knoxville Parks Commission has rescheduled the Edward’s Park cleanup to this Saturday. Volunteers worked for about two hours a couple of weeks ago before conditions got too wet. Pennie Sommar, a member of the Parks Commission, says they got a lot of work done, including taking down two trees. The cleanup begins at 7am once again, and will go until close to two or whenever all the work is done. As with last time, they are asking for volunteers to come help out.
