Team U-S-A along with some help from Pleasantville Native Chelsea Thomas captured the World Cup of Softball Championship last night in Oklahoma City by a score of 6-4 over Japan. Thomas worked part of the sixth and seventh innings and got two ground outs and a line out. Thomas was used as mainly a closer for Team U-S-A during the World Cup Series which was the fifth straight title for Team U-S-A. The squad will have some time off before preparing for the Pan American Games which takes place in Guadalajara, Mexico October 17th-through-23rd.
