The Knoxville City Council met in regular session last night. During the meeting, the bid for the Recreation Center Grounds project was awarded to Vanderpool Construction, of Indianola. After adding engineering costs and other various items, the project is expected to come in about $50,000 lower than what was estimated. The Council also agreed to set a cap of $7500 per year for prisoner health care costs in an agreement with Marion County, and they approved a contract with EMS Billing Services, Inc., of Nebraska, to run the billing for the city’s EMS services.
