The Mustangs made the long trip to Shenandoah a successful one after a huge 55-18 victory Friday night. PCM jumped out to an early lead after a three play, 80-yard drive that resulted in a Bo Clymer 48-yard touch down run. That drive last just forty seconds.
After the initial drive, it was all PCM. The Mustangs scored 8 touchdowns in the first half on just twenty-four offensive plays. They controlled the field position too, only starting on their side of the 50-yard line once in the half.
After Clymer’s score, tailback Hutch Burns scored his first of three touchdowns and picked up another 100 yard rushing game. Quarterback Joel Wiggins was perfect Friday, going 2-2 for 61 yards and a touchdown.
Coach Greg Bonnett said that he was happy with the performance and credits a lot of his teams success to the guys up front. After jumping out to the big lead, Bonnett gave his starters a break and decided to give back up Quarterback Nate Vandewall the rest of the snaps. Vandewall was also perfect in this game and threw two touchdowns.
With the win, PCM improves to 4-0 on the year and 2-0 in district 8 play. The mustangs welcome in Clarke next week to try to extend their winning streak to five.
