Strong play in singles and a pair of wins in doubles helped the Central College women’s tennis squad eek out a 5-4 victory over Simpson College Tuesday.

In singles play, the Dutch claimed victories at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5 seeds, while the doubles victories came from the top two seeds.

The Central women’s tennis team is now 5-6 overall and returns to action Saturday to face Luther College and Monmouth.
