Marion County Humane Society Director Amber Thomas says that last week’s Black Friday event went very well. Thomas says that they had 11 adoptions during the day, helping set an adoption record overall for the month of November. 54 cats and dogs were adopted during the month. The Humane Society offered discounts on adoptions for black dogs and cats last Friday, as they often times are the last type of pets to be adopted. The Humane Society will hold their craft and vendor show Saturday from 9am-3pm at Celebrate Community Church. Pet supply donations are welcome.
