P-C-M got 31 points from All-State player Scott Bruxvoort and defeated Knoxville last night in boys basketball 77-43. The Panthers were within eight points at the end of the first quarter, however an 11-2 run to end the first half gave the Mustangs a 24 points halftime lead. Mustangs Coach Fred Lorensen says so far the first two games have been well played by his team. Burns suffered a wrist injury in football, and likely will be out until mid-December. Complimenting Bruxvoort last night was Jordan Van Roekel with ten points. For Knoxville, Coach Jeff Larson said the overall effort was much better than in Tuesday game with Albia, but just too much P-C-M. Knoxville was led by Ryan Douglas with ten points, who Larson said played Bruxvoort well at times. Knoxville is 0-2 on the season and will travel to Davis County tonight a game you can hear live on AM 1320 KNIA and streamed live at kniakrls.com starting with the pre game at 7:30. P-C-M is now 2-0 and will host Jefferson-Scranton tonight.
