A Hamilton woman has been charged by the Marion County Sheriff’s office with seven counts of forgery. According to Marion County Court documents, Amber Thomas allegedly forged a Bussey man’s signature on seven different black checks that were made out to a local business. The checks totaled $1600. The victim was notified last month of possible forgery after the State Bank of Bussey noticed the signature on the checks did not match the signature the bank had on file for the victim. Forgery is a Class “D” Felony. KNIA/KRLS News will provide more information as soon as it becomes official.
