Char Yoder, team director at HCI Care Services in Knoxville, says that the recent merger with Visiting Nurse Services of Iowa will not have an impact on how they are able to serve their customers in Marion County. Visiting Nurse Services is a Central Iowa organization that serves 14 counties, including Marion County. She says that as both organizations are non-profits, Visiting Nurse Services will actually serve as a great resource for HCI Care Services. They share similar missions, and may be able to tap into each other’s volunteer base as well. Overall, Yoder says, the merger is a good fit and makes a lot of sense.
