The Knoxville Wrestling squad added two more wins to its growing number last night by defeating Oskaloosa and Albia in a triangular. The Panthers were wrestling only their second home meet of the season saw a near capacity crowd in Panther Gym last night, and treated the black and gold clad fans to a 40-33 win over Oskaloosa in the first match. Knoxville actually had a 13 point lead heading into the final three matches, however two pins by the Indians closed the gap to one, but 182 pounder Aaron Crossett’s pin provided the difference.

In the second match, the Panthers breezed by the Blue Demons 52-18 on the strength of seven wins by either fall or forfeit. Coach Ron Peterson said the thing he was most pleased with was how the guys were utilizing what they worked on in practice over the break. Double winners for the Panthers included: Skylar Cunningham, Jay Fresh, James Stittsworth, Kieran Robuck, Cody Baker, Lane Colwell, and Aaron Crossett. Knoxville is now 11-5 in dual meets this season which equals the Panthers wins all of last season. Knoxville heads to the 12 team P-C-M Invitational this Saturday.
