The time to spring your clocks forward an hour is once again near. Daylight Saving Time begins at 2am Sunday morning. When Daylight Saving Time begins, you need to move your clocks forward one hour. You will, therefore, lose an hour of sleep Saturday night.
Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson says that changing of the clocks is also a good time to change your batteries on your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to ensure that they are working. Daylight Saving Time will continue until the first Sunday in November.
