The Knoxville School Board advanced a few projects during their regular meeting yesterday afternoon. They held a public hearing regarding the proposed plans for renovation of the Randy Wilson Track. The estimated cost remained at about $568,000.

The board also set a public hearing for the proposed budget. Business Manager Craig Mobley told the board that the proposed tax rate would be about $16.66 per thousand. That’s about $1.15 lower than last year. The hearing for both the proposed budget and the proposed 2012-2013 calendar will take place on Monday, April 9th.

Finally, the board approved agreements with financial firm PiperJaffray having to do with the sale of bonds and the auditorium project. Due to a conflict in bonds sales, the board moved their May 14th regular meeting to May 16th.
