The leaders remain the same as the Central College softball team is again No. 6 in the NFCA Division III coaches’ poll.

Defending champion Linfield College, suffered a loss to Willamette but retains the top spot with a 34-3 record, followed by Emory University. Iowa Conference rival Luther College (28-4) is again at No. 4 but Coe College (24-8) tumbled 14 spots to No. 21 after dropping four straight games.

Central currently holds a 25-5 record and plays host to Simpson College Saturday. It will be Alumni Day as several Central softball players and families return to campus. Central is home again Sunday for a doubleheader with Cornell College. The contests were originally slated to be played Wednesday but postponed due to weather concerns.
