The cleanup from the storms last weekend is still continuing for many people in the county. Aaron Beebout at Spaun and Rose in Knoxville says they have seen an increase in traffic since Saturday’s storms. He says that with the number of windows and screens that were broken, they are seeing people purchase a lot of repair supplies as well as temporary fixes such as Plexiglas. Maureen McCorkle at McCorkle Hardware in Columbia says that as they aren’t a lumberyard, they haven’t seen a large increase. She does note that they offer shingles on order at McCorkle for anyone who has need.
