The Central Iowa Model A Club stopped in Pella Tuesday. They are touring the state, with Model A’s coming in from eight states. Model A’s were built by Ford between 1928 and 1931, but Club President Clarence Cory says a fully restored Model A cost less than a new vehicle. That combined with the enthusiasm for that era, means Model A clubs can draw many members. 145 members of Model A clubs from across the country, even as far as Hawaii visited Pella, driving around 75 different Model A’s. The club stopped by the Pella Opera House for a dutch lunch and to hear a performance by the Duchesses.
