Thursday marks the first day that producers can make hay on Conservation Reserve Program acres. Other rules include that only certain types of cover may be bailed, and 50% of hay in contiguous fields must be left standing. You can hear more on those rules listening to Vos’s Farming Today program from last Saturday in the embedded audio in this story.
