A crop insurance meeting will be held in Pella on Friday, with various speakers talking about some of the requirements for federal crop insurance and other potential issues that will impact farmers and livestock producers. Kyle Edwards at Van Gorp Insurors says this meeting is a good chance for farmers to learn about various effects the drought is having on agriculture. Byron Leu, a cattle expert with ISU extension says the meeting will cover livestock concerns as well. The meeting will be held at 1pm on Friday at Pella Christian High School.
