Marion County Public Health will be putting on a Back to School event in Pleasantville next Tuesday. Assistant Director Diane Ellis says the event will occur from 4-8pm at Pleasantville Elementary School and will be in conjunction with Knoxville Hospital and Clinic’s sports physicals in Pleasantville that day. It’ll include dental screenings, immunizations, lead screenings, a clown, free food, and even haircuts. Public Health dental hygienist Katie McBurney says that this is especially great way to help families that may need additional support in getting ready to send their kids back to school. She says that the Pleasantville community has shown a lot of support so far and she’s excited to see how it goes next Tuesday evening.
