Pella Christian High School rolled out a hot tech item on Wednesday to all of their students. The students each got their own iPad. The school’s 1 to 1 program is a vast departure from most other schools, which commonly give out laptops to their students. They won’t always be needed for school work, so when teachers tell their students, “lids down” that means all the iPads need to be put away. They come with responsibility on the students’ part as well. Administrators decided to allow apps to be downloaded to the iPads, and their hoping that students will be responsible enough to not use too much memory with those apps, or to download inappropriate apps.
