Pella Resident Peter Allen Branderhorst has been sentenced to two years in prison on a charge of public intoxication. He was arrested on June 16th of this year for public intoxication, and when officers asked how much he had to drink, Branderhorst replied, “not enough, I’m still thirsty.” He registered a Blood Alcohol Content of .178, more than double the legal limit. It was his 5th conviction for public intoxication. Marion County Attorney Ed Bull says Branderhorst has previously been provided many opportunities for rehabilitation and treatment.
