Pella Corporation has won an award for most innovative window in the large manufacturer category at the 2012 Crystal Achievement Awards. The Designer Series windows work with Smart Sync technology, so that blinds can be raised or lowered during certain times of the day, to keep the heat in or out, depending on the season. Internet connected devices can be used to control the windows from anywhere. Disney’s Epcot Center features Pella windows with this technology in their “Vision House”, to show how technology can help homes go green.
