Monarch Butterflies are making their trip to Mexico and passing through the area. Some participants at the Neal Smith Wildlife Refuge will get to be a part of that migration. Monarch Madness allows its participants to catch the monarchs with butterfly nets, and then tag them with a small sticker placed on their wing. When someone finds one of these monarchs later in their migration, they can enter the number on the tag into a website and the movement of the monarch can be tracked.
