Pella Christian Grade School started its 24 hour softball marathon on Friday. There is a team of 22 players facing a variety of opponents from 5pm Friday, to 5pm Saturday. The marathon is a fundraiser for the school, Principal David DeJong says that in years past they have raised $60,000 dollars in the 24 hour time frame, and they do that through donations from local businesses. The players were on top of their game last night, with many of them hitting home runs, or getting close. The marathon team faces teams of teachers, students, and a variety of other groups.
