KNIA/KRLS will be holding their candidate forums next month for the upcoming general elections. In Knoxville, candidates from Senate District 14 and House District 28 will gather on Tuesday, October 9th at 7pm at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. Republican Amy Sinclair and Democrat Dick Schrad are running for the Senate spot, and Democrat Megan Suhr and Republican Greg Heartsill are running for the House seat. Unopposed candidates for county offices will also be given a few minutes to speak.
The second candidate forum will be held at the Pella Community Center on October 11th. Three candidates will attend the forum. Republican Guy Vander Linden in House District 79, he is running unopposed in the election. Democrat Tim Tripp in Senate District 40 will be there as well, along with his Republican opponent Ken Rozenboom. The forum starts at 7pm on October 11th. The forums will be moderated by KNIA/KRLS’S Dr. Bob Leonard, and the public is invited to attend to suggest questions and hear responses. The forums will also be broadcasted live on KNIA/KRLS and be available on-demand atkniakrls.com after the event.
