With both teams’ postseason fates set in stone, the Central Dutch football team will be looking to hand Coe College their first defeat of the 2012 season later today. The Kohawks are ranked tenth in the nation with a 9 – 0 overall record. Central is fresh off a narrow win over Wartburg that saw them almost give up a 17 point lead with less than six minutes to go in the football game. Last Saturday’s victory put Central’s record at 5 – 4 on the year, and guaranteed their streak of 52 consecutive non-losing seasons would live another year, however, coach Jeff McMartin and his Dutch team would love to have some momentum heading into the 2013 season and dampen the momentum of rival Coe as they head into the playoffs. You can catch all of the action between the Dutch and Kohawks on 92.1 KRLS with the voice of the Dutch, Trevor Castle, bringing you the pregame show at 11:45 a.m., and kickoff at noon. The game will also be streamed live at kniakrls.com. Due to the hour earlier start time, the Hy-Vee Radio Coaches Corner will only be an hour starting at 10:00 a.m. and lasting until 11, and the Marion County Midday Magazine will have an hour earlier start, airing at 11:00 a.m.
