The needs of the community continue to be as great as ever, especially when it comes to food at area food shelves. Members of KNIA/KRLS dropped off a truck load of food this past Saturday at Helping Hands after receiving a call from Director Chuck Galeazzi. He said that they were in desperate need of additional food for this week’s distribution.

Helping Hands is not alone – KNIA/KRLS has already distributed food to pantries in Pella, Pleasantville, Bussey, Melcher-Dallas, and to Marion County Community Action. Our food drive continues to be successful with donation from the Marion County Farm Bureau, Hormel, the Knoxville Rotary Club, and multiple listeners. But more help is needed. If you’ve been thinking about donating the time is now. Call us at 842-3161 or 628-8672 to learn more – or you can drop off your donations at any of the local Marion County Food Shelves. Our Big Red Radio will be at Titan Machinery in Pella on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday as well collecting donations. Help us fill the Big Red Radio, and together we’ll fill the food shelves in Marion County.
