The Pella Ambulance tested some new equipment recently. A new set of Jaws of Life equipment was recently installed on the ambulance, replacing older models of the tools. Ambulance Director Doug Polking says that the new equipment has the power to cut stronger parts on new vehicles. They tested the equipment by simulating several different scenarios on real vehicles. Polking says that it is not only a good chance to test the equipment, but also a chance to review their own procedures.
