Though they did commit just their first error of the season, the Twin Cedars’ baseball team stayed hot and perfect, beating Lamoni last night by a final score of 5 – 3. Drew Carlson got the win on the mound, throwing six innings and scattering six hits while allowing just one run and striking out six. Coy Moore went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI, Otis Roby had an RBI double, Brent Parker also doubled home two runs, and Corey Harrell was 1-for-4 with a three-bagger for the Sabers, who now sit with a 9 – 0 record. The Sabers’ packed week continues tonight when they travel to face a 2 – 0 Moulton-Udell squad for a Bluegrass Conference game.
