Are you a bird watcher? If so, you’ll have an opportunity to see many species during a bird banding event with area birdwatcher and licensed bird bander Nelson Hoskins. Ranger Tracy Spry of the Corps of Engineer explains that once Hoskins nets the birds, he will remove them and place a small band with a unique number on the their leg, to help with future research regarding the tracking and behaviors of the birds. The event is this Saturday from 7a.m. to 10a.m. at Lake Red Rock’s Howell Station Campground. The event is free and no registration is needed.
