The sprint car season at the Knoxville Raceway comes to and end for 2013 tonight and while two of the three points races are all but decided, the 410s have a three driver battle that separate leader Bronson Maeschen, second place Ian Madsen, and Defending Track Champion Terry McCarl who sits in third place by 66 points. Maeschen could become the first Marion County resident since Mike Brooks in 1980 if he holds on and wins the title. Madsen could join his brother Kerry, who won in 2005 as a track champion if he can make up 59 points. If that happens, it would be the first set of brothers to win a track title in Knoxville Raceway history. McCarl is looking to tie all-time track champion Danny Lasoski with his eighth championship. Clint Garner only has to show up and qualify for the A-Main tonight to clinch his fifth straight 360 title, and Larry Ball Jr. with a 308 point lead has already clinched the title in the 305s. Join KNIA/KRLS tonight for Live Track Side at 5:30, and Race Night’s Live at 7:30 you can also stream the action live at kniakrls.com.
