Kennedy Core’s 35 points just weren’t enough to help her team beat Southeast Warren last night in girls’ basketball, as the WarHawks beat Pleasantville 49 – 44 on Tuesday night. Coach Aaron Fichter tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his girls did a good job of attacking the basket in the first half, but unfortunately strayed away from it in the final 16 minutes. Pleasantville’s boys walloped Southeast Warren, 58 – 20. Trever Zoss had 15 points to lead the way for the Trojans. The girls’ fall to 1 – 9 and the boys improve to 6 – 3. Each team faces Southwest Valley, formerly known as Corning, this Friday night.
