Des Moines radio and TV personality, and host of the national Powerball show for 18 years, Mike Pace, has written a book called “Dreams and Detours…Reflecting on the Souvenirs of a Lifetime.” The book features personal insights, poetry, stories and photography. Pace tells KNIA KRLS News that he will donate some of the proceeds of the book to HCI Hospice Care Services. He says his wife, Gail, has been a hospice volunteer for 25 years, inspired after her parents had the the same hospice nurse – twenty years apart. Pace will speak to the Knoxville Rotary Club this Wednesday at noon, and then at 2 that afternoon, he will be signing copies of his book at The Next Chapter.
