The Knoxville City Council discussed an unfinished sidewalk repair project earlier this year. At this week’s council meeting, the project was on the agenda again. City Manager Harold Stewart tells KNIA KRLS News that as requested, the City has gotten estimates on completing the project, and the figure is just under $300,000. Stewart says there was some discussion from Council on investing money each year for the project, and so City staff will let Council know how much is available and where the worst areas are that are left to be done. He says the City does want to complete the project, but it will take some time.
