Knoxville’s Farmers Market kicks off today, and opening day will have a 50’s theme. Organizer Cathy Priest says there will be fresh rhubarb, radishes and turnip greens, as well as baked goods and crafts. Priest invites the public to come dance the Bunny Hop, the Twist or The Pony, to keep with the 50’s theme. She says the market location will be adjusted for Streetscape work, and will be set up on the north half of Second Street, and around the northwest corner on Main Street. The Farmer’s Market runs from 8 to noon on Saturdays, and 2:30 to 6 on Tuesdays into October.
