Marion County Bank donated more than $17,000 to area schools as a part of a debit card donation program. The Report Card program at the bank allows debit card customers to support one of 13 local schools of their choice with every debit card purchase. Just over $10,000 was donated to Pella Community Schools, approximately $2000 was given to Pella Christian Grade School, and almost $3500 was given to Pella Christian High. Vice President of Marion County Bank Teresa Ulferts says it doesn’t cost anything extra for those who participate in the program. Marion County Bank has donated more than $84,000 to area schools over the seven years of the program.
