The FIFA World Cup is sweeping up many parts of the country with soccer fever. Central College Soccer Coach Garry Laidlaw says he’s steadily seen soccer grow in America since he did research about the popularity of soccer more than 25 years ago. He says he loves seeing new fans learn more about the game and get passionate and excited. Central Women’s Soccer Coach Mike Kobylinski was in Brazil for the event and is hosting a women’s soccer camp next week, where he said he’ll see the local excitement first hand. We’ll have more about the coaches and their experiences with the World Cup on Let’s Talk Pella later this week.
