The 12th annual KNIA/KRLS Golf Classic raised more than thirteen hundred dollars to be donated to the Marion County Food Shelves recently. In Knoxville, Helping Hands volunteer coordinator Chuck Galeazzi says the donation is appreciated, as every little bit helps, and hopes that everyone enjoyed the event. Approximately 880 people are helped each month from the Marion County Food Shelves.

KNIA/KRLS presented a second check to the Food Shelf in Pella. The check will go to help supporting families that are in need of food and towards programs at the Food Shelf. Executive Director of the Food Shelf Melissa Zula says contributions like these all go to help those in need. The Food Shelf located at the Peace Lutheran Church on Vermeer Road in Pella.
